How should I dress? We welcome you to dress comfortably and be yourself. Most people at Zion dress somewhat casual while others do dress up. Jeans are certainly fine and shorts are often seen during the summer.
What do I do when I get there? When you walk into the entrance, our sanctuary (worship area) is on the left. Greeters will be at the entrance to welcome you and ushers will be in front of the sanctuary doors to answer any questions you may have. The coat racks, and restrooms are located in the hallway to the right of the entrance.
What happens during the service? The bulletin you receive will give you an idea of what to expect during our time together. Please take a moment to sign in when you enter. We want to know you were here!
We want you to enjoy your time with us so we encourage you to participate as much or as little as you like, expressing yourself as you are comfortable. Everyone has a different way of worshiping ~ for instance, some make the sign of the cross, others sing along to the songs, and still others clap their hands to the music while some prefer to be quiet and listen for the still, small voice of God. During the service feel free to offer your praise, as you feel comfortable and inspired. During our time together we will pray, read scripture, laugh, enjoy a children’s sermon and hear a message from one of our pastors. At services you are welcome to receive the sacrament of Holy Communion. The gathering usually lasts about an hour. We would love for you to hang around for a little while before or after the service. Our people love to spend time meeting newcomers and catching up with friends.
Can I bring my child? We welcome children of all ages to Zion Lutheran Church. During the school year we also offer Sunday School, what we call Faith Formation, at 9am. Please check out our Grow section for more details.
Where can I park? There is a parking lot at the front and back of our facility for your convenience. If you park in the back you may enter in the rear door through our fellowship hall.
